With Lync and Exchange Deployment Planning Services (L&EDPS), eligible customers can use their Software Assurance benefits to pay certified partners to evaluate and plan a Exchange Server 2010 or Microsoft Lync implementation, both on premises and in the cloud.
L&EDPS Supported Offerings
L&EDPS engagements enable Partners to get paid for successfully moving customers through the initial phases of deployment planning. Engagements are designed to help the customer understand the business value of adoption, try out the technology firsthand, or create a deployment plan specific to their current environment.

L&EDPS Engagement Materials and Required Deliverables
Microsoft provides L&EDPS engagement materials to support each of the "Approved L&EDPS Engagement Services" described in the chart above. Partners may leverage these materials as-is but are encouraged to customize them using their own branding, content, and methodology.
At the end of each engagement Microsoft will request each of the following deliverables:
1. L&EDPS Planning Services Completion Report (InfoPath form)2. L&EDPS Engagement Findings and Recommendations Documentation (Using either Microsoft's template, or your own Customer Deliverable template)
