The outcome of this engagement is supporting documentation for the customer to develop a custom Lync deployment activities plan. This plan may include a conceptual design, conceptual migration strategy, risk assessment, and/or high-level vision/scope document. If your scope of work includes an Architectural Design Analysis, the customer will also receive a design gap analysis of their Lync deployment plan.
In addition to the skills required to become an L&EDPS partner organization, the following skills are recommended for consultants delivering an L&EDPS engagement on Lync Server 2010:
- Technical knowledge of Lync Server 2010
- Technical knowledge of migration and coexistence with OCS 2007 Server (if this is an OCS 2007 client migration)
- Technical knowledge of migration and coexistence with OCS 2007 R2 (if this is an OCS 2007 R2 client migration)
- Technical knowledge of Lync Voice scenarios
- Technical knowledge of general enterprise Telecommunications infrastructure
- Technical knowledge of Data Networking principles
- Working knowledge of Network Perimeter Security principles (Firewalls, Reverse proxy)
- Experience designing and implementing solutions that use Microsoft Active Directory® and Microsoft Lync Server 2010.
- Knowledge of Lync Server Control Panel and Lync Server PowerShell
