Office 365 - Online Services for Exchange and Lync
L&EDPS engagement materials, resources and guidance for the L&EDPS cloud offerings.
 
L&EDPS Exchange Online and Lync Online engagements include guidance and materials to support the following activities:
  • Migration planning for Exchange and Lync Online
  • Trial and migration assistance for Exchange Online and Lync Online.
  • Active Directory health checks; infrastructure and
    migration readiness

 

There is no separate Planning Services offering for engagements related to Office 365. If an engagement is focused primarily on an Exchange and/or Lync online implementation or migration OR infrastructure and platform readiness for such an implementation or migration, then partners should use the L&EDPS voucher type for the engagement and should be adequately trained to deliver such engagements.

​Objectives

​The objective of engaging with the customer for an Office 365 Planning Session engagement using the L&EDPS vouchers entails:

  • Helping the customer understand the options and possibilities of moving to the cloud – by plan, and component
  • Readying the customer organization’s environment for cloud migration
  • Show them how to get ready to get onto trial once available and then how to get started with trial once available
  • Help customers determine what is right for them – how long to stay on premise vs. move to the cloud
  • High-level understanding of the Plans available (licensing conversation)
  • High-level view on all phases (that would be useful to the customer) in all phases and then deep dive into the areas you feel are appropriate.
​Who Can Deliver
L&EDPS partners may use Enterprise Agreement Customer vouchers to deliver Office 365 engagements.  To become an approved L&EDPS Partner you must:
 
1.) Be an active member on the Microsoft Partner Network (MPN)
2.) Possess a Silver or Gold level competency in Unified Messaging, Messaging, or Communications 
3.) Register to deliver L&EDPS (Note: approval contingent upon validation of MPN membership, competency, and acceptance of L&EPDS program terms and conditions)

​​In addition to becomming an L&EDPS Provider, Partners delivering O365 engagements may also wish to register within one of the following Microsoft Cloud programs:

  • Cloud Essentials Partner (Recommended) - Provides benefits and resources youc an use to take your cloud business to a whole new level.
  • Cloud Accelerate Partner (Optional) - Designed for partners already doing business in the cloud.  If you have already sold more than two deals you are already on your way for qualify valuable benfits using this program.
